Bob,

following the answer of Richard, I suggest to purify by affinity your
polyclonal against a peptide of the same sequence but lacking the first
6 aa. In this way you should be able to separate the cross-reacting
antibodies and get out only the specific ones. This procedure would be
much less expensive and much less time consuming thant to restart the
whole procedure and make a monoclonal.
