I am looking for an individual with a strong background in HPLC, SDS-PAGE, and who has experience in protein purification. This person should be interested in protein sequencing, amino acid analysis, peptide mapping, and mass spectrometry. Experience in unique sample handling capabilities (sample extraction/sample processing) would be a plus.
You would work in a protein analytical laboratory that is part of the formulations group. Our company uses peptides and proteins from partner companies and develops sustained-release formulations for long term delivery of these products. The group that you would be a part of evaluates the proteins and peptides from the bulk drug stage throughout various stages of formulation and finally from in vivo injection sites.
This is not a QC position nor is it a GLP lab. We do assist in method development and method evaluation. Your most important contribution will be to verify that no post-translational modifications are occurring during the formulation process. You will learn a number of complementary techniques for sample evaluation and will be a member of a project team. You will probably have a core expertise but will follow projects through to their completion.
