In the middle of the problem now. Hopefully I will be able to solve it
today with a new valve block. I am going to assume you are using a 49X
that is at least 2 years old. There seems to be a problem with the
membranes in the delivery blocks. Have you tried the cartridge block
tests? If you find both of these tests fail the initial step then I
would block off the open port on the block that attaches to 23 and do
the test again. Also you can open valve 15 and look for bubbles in the
bottles r3, S3, s2 and s1. I found that R3 was leaking and adding air
into the lines. New block will cost $1993 (9 port solvent block part #
603454)
