Genetics Institute is a leading biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and
commercialization of human pharmaceuticals through recombinant DNA and other technologies. The company has a diversified portfolio of licensed and proprietary pharmaceutical products at various stages of development, including treatments for anemia, hemophilia, cancer, bone damage, inflammatory conditions and immune system disorders.
We are seeking a peptide synthesis manager to perform peptide synthesis, purification, analysis and mass spectrometry (MALDI). Design and integrate a database for requesting and tracking of synthetic peptides. Maintain all HPLC's synthesizers and peptide related equipment. Contribute to all peptide special projects. Requirements include BS or MS in chemistry or biochemistry, 2-5 years experience in peptide synthesis, a solid background in organic chemistry, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with databases, and 430A and Pioneer synthesizers a plus.
