Job Description:

The company has a diversified portfolio of licensed and proprietary pharmaceutical products at various stages of development, including treatments for anemia, hemophilia, cancer, bone damage, inflammatory conditions and immune system disorders.

We are seeking an individual to participate in high-sensitivity protein identification and proteomics projects within the Discovery Research department. The selected candidate will be part of the Protein Chemistry group and will have projects involving the purification and identification of unknown proteins from a variety of biological systems. Qualified candidates should have a B.S. or M.S. degree with at least two years experience in the purification and analysis of peptides and proteins. Familiarity with both one and two dimensional electrophoresis and with chromatographic techniques for purification of biochemicals is necessary. Additional experience with either ESI-MS or MALDI-TOF MS is also desirable. Good communications skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment are essential.
