Hi Wendy--
I have been using the 48 lane upgrade now for
about 10 months and it has been wonderful. Being
able to run 92 samples per day (we have 2
machines) has made it possible to offer routine 2
day turnaround for the researchers here at the
OMRF. Our worst backlogs have lasted less than 4
days. I think the only drawback was that the
upgrade price was a bit much. I haven't tried a 64
tooth comb, but I am considering it.

Our facility is resisting the 96 lane upgrade,
mostly because we are considering the 96 capillary
machine. I am sure the cost of the upgrade from 48
to 96 is substantial, and we would like to put
that money toward a different machine.

If you have any more specific questions, please
don't hesitate to write or call.
