We use an UPS from Best (an old model called Ferrups 4.7) serving more
than one instrument (477 and 420 and a few computers). We never had a
single problem caused by bad power supply in 7 years. Although
theoretically it is better to have separate UPS, it is much more expensive
to buy two UPS systems of 2KVA each than one 4KVA system. Since you are
not planning to connect "noisy" instruments to the same UPS, it will
probably be OK. By "noisy" instruments I mean instruments that generate
electric noise on the line, like engines.

Hi,

I need to purchase a UPS for our sequencer and synthesizer (477 and 433). I'm
not sure if I can put them both on the same UPS or if I need separate UPS
systems for each one. I don't know anything about electronics, so any input
would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure where to buy them or what model to
buy. I found some sources on the internet, but there are too many models to
choose from and I don't know where to begin.

Weather: I hear about the snow and ice storms in the north and northeast and I
try to remember what it felt like to live thru them. Being a veteran of south
Florida (13 months and counting) I've already acclimated to our sunny warm
winters. It's nice to be able to wear short sleeves and sandals in January. Now
if only I could get tulips to grow down here....
