Molecular Genetics Department of Discovery Research for our client
biopharmaceutical company. This person will be responsible for establishi=
ng
and implementing a program to improve the affinity of recombinant antigen
binding proteins using state-of-the-art molecular and biochemical methods.
He/She may also have a role in identifying new specificities and evaluati=
ng
existing mouse monoclonal antibodies. =20
The successful candidate will focus on molecular biology of immunoglobuli=
ns
and their ligands, in particular, using mutagenesis and combinatorial pha=
ge
display technologies to obtain true affinity improvements.=20

Qualifications:
=B7 Ph.D in appropriate Biological science.
=B7 Extensive post-doctoral/industrial experience in antibody engineering.
=B7 Strong skills in molecular biology, protein engineering and in vitro
assays of antibody affinity.
=B7 Established record in utilizing phage display libraries for the selec=
tion
of antibodies with improved affinities.
=B7 Experience in protein expression and purification and use and evaluat=
ion
of methods used to measure protein-protein interactions.
