David,

You should give Bulb Direct a call (800-772-5267, www.bulbdirect.com).
They have a range of lithium batteries in their catalogue, but I am not sure
which one you are using. I purchased the oddball sample compartment bulbs
used in the HP sequencer from them. They were able to correctly identify the
right bulb over the phone (type 86 miniature) and I got them in a couple of
days. They should be able to do the same for batteries.

Oh, by the way, they charged $0.86 per bulb (plus $4.95 shipping per
order) for the sequencer bulbs versus $17.85 each from HP (shipping included).
For those who are price conscious, they also have a $0.55 version of the bulb.

Dear fellow members,
We have some Rainin electronic pipettors that use a "C" size
battery, but Lithium, 3.6 volt. They are made by Saft, Model LSH 14,
France. Rainin charges $36 each. We bought a Tadiran brand equivalent
locally, but it was dead on arrival (but far cheaper- dubious value). Does
anyone know of a large mail-order seller of such batteries?
