Mark,
We offer DNASTAR along with Sequencher (Mac Only) on a concurrent use
licensing scheme using Sassafras software's KeyServer. In general I am
happy with it. It comes as modules and I beleive you can purchase only
those that are useful to you (so you could skip their assembly software for
instance). They seem to be putting a lot of development effort toward
their windows apps and their support has been pretty good. It also has
excellent cross platform support and they have also recently improved
support for automated sequencing data.
We only offer Sequencher for Mac because GeneCodes has not released their
Network version for windows. I would be interested in hearing if the
windows Sequencher is as nice as the mac version. Does it follow a
standard windows interface, or did they try to make it like a mac?
Feel free to contact me off-list if you would like more information about
our set-up.
-James
