Linda,

The HPLC prediction algorithms are as useful or useless as you let them be
- I've only ever used them as a guide when my own experience needed a
little back-up! It's wise to always use several different predictors so
that you get a feel for how the peaks may move around - and always be
prepared for the unexpected!

I'm sure this doesn't help much - experience is usually a much better guide.
