Before the advent of the Procise and NMePip I used to run a 473 protein
sequencer. I switched from TMA to DIEA and as well as having a more
pleasant working environment found I got an improved R.Y. plus some of the
other advantages of using NMePip (eg no dmptu peak). As a more cost
effective alternative you might want to try it. Just replace the TMA with
85% methanol, 10% water and 5% DIEA. (You get around 500 cycles per bottle.)
