A few weeks ago we put out a call for people to submit any info
they had on the elution positions of non-standard amino acids in Edman
sequencing in order to update our compilation for the ABRF.
We have been getting some questions about what kind of proof is
necessary to accompany these submissions. The answer is whatever you have.
Please don't hold back because you don't have a rigorous chemical
characterization of the PTH-AA. Send us what you have and mearly explain
why you think the PTH-AA is what it is. We will evaluate your response and
report it accordingly.
We have received a few responses to this request but not as many as
I had hoped. Please don't hold back, especially you HP users. Any info will
be helpful and the final compilation will be made available to anyone who
requests it.
