exactly that problem. It's completely UNIX-based with the UNIX file syste=
m
as data backup area and mySQL as database for the requests, and it has a
HTML (intranet) user interface. Currently, we are implementing Staden's
"trev" program as trace file viewer to get rid of the colour printouts
which we at present still do. You can contact me directly for details

I would be very much interested in other solutions - one of the problems =
we
have not yet solved is the sample sheet creation (we use Excel
tab-delimited files for data flow from UNIX to "Data Collection 2.5". Cou=
