We've use Amersham terminators - the NON-ET versions work very well for us.
Data are as good as BigDye, and they can be used on older (i.e. unconverted)
373's, as you say. We have not, however, had any luck with the ET terminators.
Every time we use them, they fail miserably. Symptoms are like a failure of
gel resolution, but every other sample in the gel resolves fine. We've not
done serious trouble-shooting.

The non-ET Amersham terminators are somewhat more expensive than BigDyes,
taking into account the fact that you can dilute BD's 2-fold, whereas the
Amershams must be used at full-strength. The ET's promise to be much more
economical if we can get them to work.

Anyone else with experiences to relate with regard to Amersham's ET term's?
