Dear ABRF Members:
The Lindsley F. Kimball Research Institute of the New York Blood Center has
a challenging opportunity for a Research Technician in the Laboratory of
MicroChemistry.
The candidate we select will participate in all aspects of this Laboratory
which synthesizes, purifies and characterizes biomolecules in collaboration
with researchers at the Institute. This person shall be responsible for the
timely and efficient production of these services. To qualify, you must
possess a BS/BA in Chemistry or Biochemistry with 0-3 years of experience.
Experience with or knowledge of the following is preferred: automated DNA
sequencing; HPLC; MALDI mass spectrometry; or automated solid phase
synthesis of peptides. A desire to conduct original research with the
members of the lab is a plus. Familiarity with computers and excellent
organizational and communication skills are essential.
