Associate Scientist (position # 1)
Assist in the biochemical characterization of candidate proteins for
ongoing research projects. The successful candidate will have excellent
analytical laboratory skills and the ability to handle several technologies
at the same time. The individual should be self motivated, organized and
efficient. BS/MS in Chemistry or Biochemistry with 2+ years documented
experience in protein characterization, protein purification, working with
low levels of samples, and utilizing analytical instruments, such as HPLC
for peptide mapping, is highly desirable.
Associate Scientist (position #2)
As a key member of our Research Analytical Protein Chemistry Core Facility,
you will perform N-terminal protein sequencing, amino acid analysis, SDS
PAGE. mass spectral analysis. You will be responsible for preparing
samples, troubleshooting, maintenance and performance optimization of both
protein sequencing, HPLC and amino acid instrumentation. The ability to
work on multiple projects, perform repetitive/routine precision analysis
and process data in a timely manner is essential. The successful candidate
will have 1+ years of relevant experience a BS/MS in Biochemistry,
Chemistry, Biology or related field. Familiarity with lab instrumentation
is preferred, however we will train individuals who show an aptitude for
analytical protein chemistry.
