Dear Dr. Raida,

Try the Glycoscience Network page at www.vei.co.UK/TGN
<http://www.vei.co.UK/TGN> . More specific questions can be asked
through the Glycoscience Forum at http://proteus.vei.co.UK/forum
<http://proteus.vei.co.UK/forum> . A recent review on O-glycosylation :
E. F. Hounsell et al, Glycoconjugate Journal (1996), 13: 19-26. An
useful list of molecular mass of oligosaccharides currently found in
glycoproteins could probably be obtained upon request ("Data for the
Calculation of the Molecular Masses of Glycoproteins, Glycopeptides and
Oligosaccharides for use in Mass Spectrometry") from VG
BIOTECH/Analytical (from Fisons Instruments) (FAX in Germany, Fisons
Instruments Vertriebs GmbH, 613 4289900)

Subject: Mass list of carbohydrate residues

Hey to all,
sometimes it happens that someone like me who only thinks in
peptidechains
has to analyze sugar residues and, as a lazy one, I am looking
for a mass
list of carbohydrates aand a list of the masses of linked
carbohydrates.
Is
such a thing in the internet or where can I get it from.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Yours
Manfred Raida
