Hi Juan,

We have setup a Microarray Facility at the Albert Einstein College of
Medicine. We have both the Affymetrix GeneChip oligonucleotide array
technology and have built our own cDNA microarray robotic printer and
scanner. For information about our experience with the Affymetrix
technology, please contact me directly. For information about our cDNA
microarray robot, please go to
http://sequence.aecom.yu.edu/bioinf/funcgenomic.html.

I organized a session on "Implementing Microarray Technologies in Facility
Laboratories" for the ABRF'99 meeting last month. Many people attended the
session and expressed interest in incorporating this technology into their
core facilities. I will be posting a summary of the session on the web soon.

As one outcome of this session, I hope to organize an ABRF Microarray
Research Group to answer questions such as what instruments and
bioinformatics are currently in use. If you know of anyone who would be
interested in participating in such a group, please have them contact me.
