I don't know that you can do this without any particular software. We have
had no success with that. However, there are software packages that do
this. The 'SeqMan II' software (part of the DNAStar/Lasergene package) will
import an ABI file and allow you to copy any section of chromatogram to
paste straight into PowerPoint. The beauty of this is that PowerPoint is
then able to convert this to a PowerPoint picture (that you can edit in
PowerPoint). I don't know how much it costs, but it something to consider
buying!
