Go back to your old ABI...
I've seen the Pioneer MPS in action (in in-action?) in the past and
from what I've seen...it's best use would be as a bounce test
apparatus from the roof or better yet as a boat anchor.
As far as your +14 peaks...are you using any AA's that are
different by 14 such as Asn and Lys or Asp and Glu where the
synthesizer may be picking up the wrong AA during the assembly?
Been known to happen...
