Thanks to everyone who answered my question about pepsynthesizers. The
pioneer without MPS seems to be our option, pending modification of the
valves. I see that others. like myself, are sorry that the 9050 has been
completely abandoned and orphaned. It was a great machine, versatile and
easy to fix. One further advantage was that even if the software was
limited and ran on a very old PC technology, it was really easy to
modify. We could insert new non-proteic AA and change the cycles at will
so as to introduce new multiple wash or coupling cycles with different
solvents/reagents etc. Is the Pioneer software equally accessible?

Thanks again for the info, Alex
