Dear ABRF'ers;
I'm seeing an error message on my 470 that I have never encountered before
and I'm wondering whether anyone else has seen it. My 470 is hitched to a
120A PTH analyser, a 900A controller and Turbochrom Workstation for data
collection.

On the touchscreen on the 470 appears:

ABI model 470A protein sequencer
v 1.20

using 301
Sequencer is in remote modeUSI
NG301
go to local mode

On the self test:
-sequencer and controller pass
-internal I/O fails
-power supply, temp sensors, solonoid continuity, heaters and fraction
collector all report "NO SEQ COM"
-A/D and printer also fail

This happened sometime last night after it had successfully completed the
run in progress.

Bob Apfelzweig at PE/ABI is trying to find a software guy/dinosaur who's
been around long enough to know what this is about but maybe one of you
know....?
