A colleague asked me to pass on this message...

<<We have just recently purchased a Perkin Elmer DSC 7 ambient which we are operating at subambient temperatures by use of a Dry Box and Intracooler.

Each time I turn on the Intracooler, once the system cools down the nitrogen purge exhaust that runs through the sample chamber stops bubbling. In order to flush any moisture from the system we have tried holding the system at elevated temperatures with an increased purge rate. We have also checked the o-ring on the sample lid for leaks and it is intact, however the problem still persists.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem is and how to solve it?>>

Thanks for your help.

Deanna
