Who we are
Roche Genetics is a cross-divisional organization with the mandate to
integrate and optimize the deployment of approaches based on human genetics
toward the development of individual health care concepts and products that
will emphasize integrated diagnostics, therapeutics, and disease prevention.
The Genetics/Genomics Technology Platform in Basel supports this Genetics
Initiative by developing and /or applying novel technologies for DNA
sequence variation analysis, experimental genetics, transcript profiling and
proteomics.

The position
We are looking for a senior level bioinformatics specialist who will be
responsible for supporting the technology development groups regarding the
automation of proteomics technology, the integration of gene chip data and
proteomics data in a global relational database, the development of software
tools for complex data analysis and data mining.

Who you are
You must have a strong background in biology and information technologies.
You should have a PhD in biology, molecular biology or biochemistry with
several years of experience using bioinformatics tools. You should have a
solid understanding of relational databases principles, programming skills
in C++ and SQL, and familiarity with the Windows NT operating system.
