NOTE: Methonal, even optical grade MeOH, leaves a flourescent residue that
increases the background. We frequently do an MeOH wash, but follow it with a DI
water wash to get rid of background. This lowers the bkg by 100-200 units.

We have been using the same plates for a long time and do the
alconox/hotwater/deionized wash as well.
We do a light wipe with methanol using Kimpwipes EX-L before pouring.
No problems!

We ALWAYS use the same side of the notched plate because of the "memory"
of
the rubber gasket on the plate from the upper buffer chamber.
