ABRF discussion group:
A colleague at my institution has asked me for information regarding
quantitative PCR methods. He wishes to use quantitative PCR with tumor
specific primers to quantify the presence of human leukemia cells in
mouse blood in an animal model. I would appreciate receiving any input
on the methods and/or instrumentation used for this purpose. This
investigator asked specifically about the "5700 and 7700" machines which
I think must refer to instruments made by PE/ABI. He asks specifically
if they are "worth the cost."
Thanks in advance for your input.
