We are currently recruiting for Genetic Analysis Technical Support
Specialists I/II/Sr.
In this role, we will rely on you to provide a readily accessible
source of technical and application support for US customers of PE
Biosystems Genetic Analysis products and services. You will also act
as a technical liaison for providing feedback from the customer to
maintain and improve product quality.
Requirements: This position requires the knowledge and skills normally
acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree (BS / BA) in
Life Science, Chemistry, Engineering or related fields, or equivalent
relevant experience gained by servicing or providing technical support
for related high technology instrumentation. Requires knowledge of
principles of Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Electronics equivalent
to basic college-level courses in these areas.
The Specialist II Position requires two to four (2-4) years hands-on
experience in a technical support related field, including one year
hands-on experience with PE Biosystems or related biotechnology
products, e.g. laboratory usage, field or in-house service, product
testing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Specialist Sr. Position requires four to six (4-6) years hands-on
experience in a technical support related field, including two years
hands-on experience with PE Biosystems or related biotechnology
products, e.g. laboratory usage, field or in-house service, product
testing, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
For all positions specific experience or training in Genetic Analysis
products and techniques, such as DNA Sequencing, Fragment Analysis or
related areas is required. Experience or training in an area related
to customer relations, technical training or technical support is
preferred.
