Promoting discussion

Regarding Steve's comments about "serious questions go unanswered and relevant
issues go undiscussed"....I believe that questions do get answered and issues
are discussed "offline". In my experience I receive about 1/2 the answers to
my questions directly and the other half are posted through the bulletin
board. I would urge that everyone answer through the bulletin board rather
than directly to the person asking the question.

Weather inconsequential: no moles or gophers yet this year!!!

Figure attachments are tools for promoting discussion and what this
group desperately needs is something to promote discussion. You often get
the idea that nobody is paying attention to what gets posted here. Serious
questions go unanswered and relevant issues go undiscussed.

The attachment issue seems to be a technical issue that should be
addressed on the receiver's end. Personally, I don't automatically download
attachments, but do manually download attachments that may be of interest.
It seems like such a simple fix.
