=D8 Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for an immediately availab=
le
position as an analytical chemist with strong background in using HPLC an=
d mass
spectrometry. As member of a drug discovery research team at BASF Biores=
earch
Corporation this position will use established and assist in developing n=
ew
analytical separation and MS techniques to support the characterization a=
nd
profiling of peptides, proteins and small organic molecules. Our
interdisciplinary environment requires the interaction with other analyti=
cal
chemists as well as with biochemists, biologists, pharmacologists and syn=
thetic
chemists.

=D8 Skills and Education Requirements:
The successful candidate will have an M.S. degree in chemistry/analytical
chemistry/biochemistry (or equivalent), with 5+ years of job experience,
preferably from a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industrial environment.
Required are a strong analytical background, documented expertise in HPLC=
and
mass spectrometry techniques, and familiarity with data archival and data=
base
handling. Strong skills in instrumentation including Finnigan LCQ ion tra=
p
and/or Micromass Q-ToF mass spectrometers are a plus. This position
necessitates excellent organizational and as well verbal and written
communication skills and the capability to work independently. Experienc=
e in
micro-analytical methods, capillary electrophoresis, automation and prote=
in
biochemistry is desired.
