OS compatibility

Dear ABRFers,
Some of our users report problems when using ABI's Sequence
Navigator (ver. 1.0.1) on a Mac G3 with OS8.6. I recall a posting to this
newsgroup sometime ago to the effect that the 377 software also ran less
than optimally on a G3 with newer os versions.
Are we just seeing a compatibility problem between old and new or
could there be some other explanation.
