Hello,

We're trying to sequence thru glycosylated hydroxylysine and we'd like to know
where it elutes. I checked with the sequencing bible (AKA Greg Grant's
compilation) and it mentions Hyl and 'derivatized Hyl'. By derivatized, does
this mean glycosylated? The booklet also mentioned that glycosylation decreases
with repeated Edman cycles. Does this mean 2 or 3 cycles or 20-30?

My copy of the bible is the first edition. Is there a more recent edition or was
the first one so good there is no need for updates?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Jeni

PS: For those who helped with the past sequencing problems. We're still
struggling a bit, but we can get some useful data now and again. The instrument
is definately not up to snuff, but it's ok for now.
