Alot of work on protein stabilization during freezing/thawing or
lyophilization, much of which uses FTIR has come out the lab of Carpenter
and Crowe. Here are one or two references:

>Dear ABRF's,
>Following the mention of FTIR in a recent question on this board, could
>anyone tell me/us any more about, or of a good source of information on the
>use of FTIR in the study of protein structure, denaturation, etc?
>Thanks in advance,as usual.
