I do not know of any place which does these analyses as a service, but I have
some
experience which may be helpful.
I did a lot of work when I was at Beckman using N-carboxy-L-leucine or
glutamic,to form
dipeptides which were separable by cation exchange chromatography. We were trying
to
determine the best source of Boc-a.a.I would never try that again, but it worked
well enough.
I revisited the methodology with precolumn-derivatization using OPA and
N-AcCysteine
(Nimura et al.J.Chromat.352,169-177.1986.).It worked well enough, but it suffered
from the
instability of pre-column OPA.
Pierce Chemical sells the Marfey reagent, and there are is some published
work,with fewer
amino acids analyzed, and many more reagents. They all have the optical isomers of
amino
acids form diastereomer derivatives.
I may be interested enough to set up this type of analysis as service.
