QUALIFICATIONS
A M.S. or Ph.D. in an appropriate area of science (Biochemistry,
Microbiology or Molecular Biology) or an equivalent combination of education
and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired
are necessary. The successful candidate must interact well in the
supervision of students and technicians.
The incumbent should have experience in fermentation, the
expression-secretion of recombinant proteins in different bacterial and
yeast systems, insect cells and the assessment of post-translational
modifications documented by publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Additionally, expertise in molecular cloning techniques, strain construction
and the design of expression-secretion cassettes are necessary.
The incumbent should have proven experience in the field of protein analysis
using ELISA and other technique, protein purification, protein assembly and
solubilization.
Computer literacy and good written and verbal communication skills are
essential.
