Fermentors: Cleaning antifoam scum

When growing e. coli and using antifoam, a scum formed in a sealed
fermentor. What detergent, base, chemical, etc. is effective in removing
the residue? Other types of cells will be grown in the fermentor, so
something that not cytotoxic should be used for cleaning.
