I obtained water from Aldrich in April of this year cat# 32,987-8. It's a
neat little trick for tryptic digests. If you are counting disulfide bonds
too those tryptic fragments will have a +4 if they don't contain the
C-terminus. There also was a little paper on using O18 technique for
assigning Asn linked carbohydrates. I think however I would suggest
performing the PNGase F treatment after tryptic digestion of the gel slice
instead of before digestion as it works much faster on smaller peptides.

Does anyone know where I can buy 18O-enriched water in the country. I was
told Cambridge Isotope Lab discontinued to supply. Thank you very much.
