Bob,
You are going to have trouble with the C-terminal lysine, but
Sulfo-NHS Acetate (Pierce) at pH ~ 7 may get you some acetylated N-terminus.
You will likely get the di-acetylated product and the lysine derivative also.
These may be chromatographically resolved??? MW analysis along with Edman
should identify the desired peptide.
