A Research Associate position is available in the area of Proteomics. The
successful candidate will have a B.S., M.S., or equivalent, in biochemistry or
related field and will have expertise in protein analysis. MALDI-TOF and ESI
mass spectrometry experience is preferred. Skills in proteomics, 2-D
electrophoresis, Edman protein sequencing, and protein purification are a
plus. Excellent analytical skills are essential, as are the ability to
organize and communicate effectively in a team environment. (Job Code:

A Ph.D. level position is also available. The ideal candidate will have a
Ph.D., or equivalent, in biochemistry or a closely related discipline and
experience in the application of proteomics toward the elucidation of cellular
biochemical mechanisms. The individual will be responsible for the design and
implementation of proteomics studies of relevance to the drug discovery process
and will work closely with a technology group engaged in 2-D electrophoresis
including protein spot identification and quantification. A sound
understanding of enzymology, cellular biochemistry, molecular pathways, and
signal transduction is essential. Experience with cell culture and protein
analysis, especially mass spectrometry and 2-D electrophoresis, is desirable,
as is experience in protein isolation and functional characterization. The
individual will assume the supervision of research associates. Excellent
