Ejvind-

The following book has a section reviewing methods for TLC/FAB-MS.
No peptides but the methodology would be the same as for the antibiotics,
sugars and pigments it discusses. Never tried it myself. They do a nice
looking TLC band concentration step prior to FAB by scraping the plate
around the spot into a trapezoid and using a syringe of solvent to re-
focus the band into the small end of the trapezoid.

I have scrapped and eluted other compounds from TLC plates. I used
a glass fritted funnel hooked up to a vacuum line with a trap for my
solvent/analyte. I dumped the scrapped silica into the funnel, turned
on the vacuum and washed the silica with some spatula stirring.
Then I concentrated the solvent.
