for Miniaturized Analytical Techniques in
Proteomics and LC/MS

We are looking for a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or
Biochemistry for the following position:

1. Title:
Applications Scientist Customer Support

2. Goals:
Give support to sales force:
Generate further acceptance of Capillary LC in general and LC Packings in
particular among potential users:
- protein/peptide analysis
- mass spectrometry -- interface with Electrospray and MALDI
- pharmaceutical/bioanalysis
- environmental
Generate awareness of performance of LC Packings products

3. Activity:
- introduce potential customers to Capillary LC and its advantages and
possibilities by hands-on demos
- phone support from San Francisco office, including follow-up to demos
- instrument set-up and hands-on training with key accounts
- support customers in applications and trouble shooting
- recognize user wishes and requirements for future product enhancements
and for new product development
- participate in training programs for users
- participate in trade events

4. Time schedule
70 % of time in San Francisco at LC Packings
30% on the road
- demos
- set-up
- training and teaching users and potential users

5. Training
After hiring, candidate must be willing to go for a one month training
program to the LC Packings core R&D facility in Amsterdam. However, it is
expected that the candidate has hands-on experience in miniaturized
liquid separations techniques. Further good communications skills are
helpful
