rt-PCR and MEGAbase vs PE 3700

I am looking to develop an rt-PCR test kit into a commercially useful kit for out-licensing to a testing lab. This test currently uses ethdium bromide as the detection/quantitation method. Even though I am new to this are, I know this is outmoded. If one wanted detecting tumor antigen mRNA in human tissue samples, are these DNA analysis machines (ie, MEGAbase and the PE 3700) the thing to use and how do they compare? I am looking reliability, precision and accuracy of results along with sensitivity (low limit of detection). Thanks for your comments
