B-elimination of O-glycans from glycoproteins transferred to immobilon P
membranes: method and some applications, Analyt. Biochem. 253:98-102. The
blots were incubated in 0.055 M NaOH for 16 h at 40 oC. To desialylate
before B-elimination the blots were first incubated in 0.025 M H2SO4 for 1
h at 80 oC then washed in H2O before incubating in NaOH. We tried this
method successfully with a glycoprotein transferrd to PVDF.
