AAA: problems with AACompIdent

Hello all,

Has anyone experiencing problems using the program AACompIdent on the
ExPASy tools? Trying to identify my protein using this program, the
computer returned the message: "Amino Acid Search NOT Performed: ***
Your email address "" is not valid. ***". I can't understand what's
happening, because my email address is perfectly correct! I tried to put
others valid email addresses, but it didn't work as well. Uppercase and
lowercase gave the same result. The message showed by the computer let
one think that the field was left empty (because the two successive
inverted commas), but this wasn't true. Nevertheless, an interesting
thing happens: if I put a wrong address (like 'abc' or an address
without the '@'), the error message appears, but the field 'email' was
not empty, as it was when I put a real addressÖ (!?) I tried the search
using NetscapeÆ Communicator 4.5 running on a Power MacintoshÆ 7200/90
with 48 MB RAM and MacOS 8.1, ExplorerÆ 5.0 running on a PentiumÆ 133
MHz with 32 MB RAM and Windows98, ExplorerÆ 5.0 running on a PentiumIIÆ
450 MHz with 512 MB RAM and Windows NT, all with the same result.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks in advance.
