DNASEQ: Loading of 80well shark tooth comb?

Dear colleagues,

after following the discussion in this group about lane tracking problems
etc. with the 96 well comb for the 377, we decided to try out the 80 well
comb from Gel Company as a compromise between throughput and ease of use.
It has the same well size as the original 64 well shark tooth comb from PE
but uses a wider scan area.
Today we wanted to make a test run with this comb and ran into some trouble
regarding the loading of the gel. Together with the 96 lane upgrade we got
a loading device from Kloehn. It turned out, that this device can not be
used (except if you remove the electrode holder from the buffer chamber and
the upper part of the frame) for loading the samples because of its
dimensions.
If anyone else is using this 80 well comb, how do you load your samples? We
would like to avoid going back to manual loading by using a pipet, but are
there any alternatives?
Any hints are highly appreciated.

Yours sincerely,
Marcus Macht
