Prot. Pur: Interleukins

Good morning

Could someone please point me in the right direction for techniques
to purify low molecular weight proteins - specifically interleukins. The
interleukin of interest is being expressed in the Baculovirus system and is
secreted into the media which contains 10% FBS. There is currently no Ab
available and the protein is not tagged in any way. I know, I know -
this is why tags are used , but I am investigating whether it is easier to
purify it or to "start over" with a tagged protein expression system. We
have an "FPLC" but no HPLC available at the moment. I don't suppose it
could be as easy as a size exclusion column. I don't think it needs to be
absolutely pure (since they seem happy to use conditioned media at the
moment) - just biologically active.

Thank you.
