Dear Markus,

most programs to assemble contigs from trace files on the Mac can do
that job - e.g. Sequencher. But they are all fairly expensive. I
think that "trev" from the Staden package (which runs on a UNIX
server - and its free) together with a X-Windows server program on
the Mac are the best solution.
