So, a colleague walks into my core facility and wants me to make some peptide. I'm glad to do it, but I know in my heart that if only a milligram or so is needed, it might be cheaper/faster to buy the peptide, if it is commercially available. So I ask, but of course my colleague doesn't know what peptides are available or even all of the sources. So I look in the catalogs and what not. But chee, it's easy to miss a peptide. ...
SO, is there a 'Net site to which I can input my peptide sequence and have it search all commercial vendors to tell me if this peptide already exists in a commercially available form? Or is my old fashioned way the only option?
