Dear Rachel,
we sometimes remove Fmoc from cleaved peptides. We leave the Fmoc on for
better quantification. To remove it we treat the solid peptide with neat
piperidine. Even though our basic peptides do not dissolve in pip, the
Fmoc has come off quantitatively after about an our. We then add ether
and evaporate the mixture off, washing the peptide with ether several
times to remove all traces of pip. It seems to have worked well the few
times we tried it.

Hope this helps, bye, Alex
