Based near Los Angeles, California, CTL Immunotherapies is a young,
progressive company that is developing peptide-based therapeutics for
the treatment of cancer. We are currently in the midst of the IND
application process for a melanoma vaccine and plan to begin
multi-center US clinical trials in early Y2K.

We are seeking an independent, creative individual to join us in the
development of our drug products. Primary duties are to include the
formulation and analysis of prototype liquid and lyophilized dosage
forms. Particularly challenging will be the development of a carrier
that will solubilize and stabilize extremely hydrophobic and sensitive
peptides. The job will also entail the development of analytical
methods for characterization and stability testing the prototype drug
products. Techniques used may include RP-HPLC, light scattering, UV,
fluorescence, and circular dichroism spectroscopy, etc. Depending on
your qualifications, you may also be asked to assist in the development
of ELISA- RIA- or CD-based peptide-receptor binding assays. You will
also have the chance to participate in the development of the processes
used for the GMP-manufacture of these drugs.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants with a university degree and proven
expertise in one or more of the following areas will be considered:
medicinal formulation chemistry, peptide or protein chemistry,
analytical-, organic- or bio-chemistry. A high degree of technical
ability and an intuitive feel for the behavior of chemical substances
gained through extensive bench work is essential. Knowledge of commonly
used office and scientific computer applications is also essential.

Preferred: An advanced degree; precise and meticulous work habits and
record keeping; ability to create SOP's and technical reports;
familiarity with FDA regulations; experience with the IND application
process.

Competitive salary and benefits package.
